Note: In the winter, Silver Gate is accessible by automobile via Highway 89 heading south through Gardiner, Montana which will lead you to the North Entrance of Yellowstone Park (Mammoth Hot Springs). From Mammoth Hot Springs, Silver Gate is approximately a 50 mile drive through the Yellowstone National Park. Your escape is awaiting you just one mile outside of the Northeast Entrance of YNP.

Other winter travel restrictions:

Travel from Billings through Red Lodge on Highway 212 is closed during the winter.
Travel from Cody via Hwy 296 is limited by a 12 mile stretch of unplowed road, thus inaccessible (except by snowmobile, which we do not accommodate) to Cooke City/Silver Gate by automobile.
Entrance from Jackson and West Yellowstone through the park is not accessible by automobile.

Cody, Wyoming - about 60 miles east of the park. Airport is open all year.Airlines: Skywest and United.

Bozeman, Montana - about 90 miles north of the park. Airport is open all year.
Airlines: Delta, Horizon, Northwest and Skywest.

Billings, Montana - about 120 miles northeast of the park. Airport is open all year.
Airlines: Delta, Horizon, Northwest, Skywest and United.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming - about 60 miles south of the park. Airport is open all year.Airlines: American, Skywest and United.
