<description> Welcome to the show it is October 9th 2009 and this is our 1st
show. Today will be an talk with Rick McIntyre. Silver Gate is the gateway to the Lamar Valley which has the best year round wildlife viewing in all of Yellowstone. Wolf 302 gained his fame traversing the northern limits of Yellowstone from Mammoth on the western end to Pebble Creek and Round Prairie on the eastern end. The Range Rider Lodge hosted the Beartooth Alliance Annual Meeting where Rick McIntyre was the featured speaker. Nobody knew 302 or viewed him more than Rick. With Rick's consent we recorded this presentation on the history of 302 and have posted it here for all to hear. On October 7th 2009 after over 9 years of thrilling all who ever saw him 302 died as a result of injuries suffered in a conflict with another pack. Born a Leopold wolf on the Blacktail Plateau he later was instrumental in bringing back the Druid Pack to prominence and spent the last year of his life as the Alpha Male of the Blacktail Pack.
